Senior Research Associate at the University of East Anglia
Salary upon appointment will be £38,784 per annum, with an annual increase of up to £46,049 per annum.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research Associate to join the laboratory of Dr Amit Sachdeva at the School of Chemistry, Pharmacy and Pharmacology at the University of East Anglia, UK. This position is funded by Cancer Research UK. The proposed research work aims to develop reliable and ultra-rapid methods for detecting cancer biomarkers. As a Senior Research Associate, you will contribute to the research program, analyze and interpret data, write up findings in peer-reviewed journals, and provide information on the progress of the research.
You will have a PhD level qualification in biochemistry, molecular biology, biology, chemistry or related fields with significant independent laboratory experience in molecular biology and biochemistry. Experience with directed evolution-based approaches and/or organic synthesis of small molecules would be advantageous. You will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to analyze and interpret data and work effectively as part of a team.
This full-time position is available from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.
