Position summary
United Nations Command Horizons-Wake is looking for a part-time Recovery and Reentry Care Coordinator for beauty Project (Gender Responsive Reentry Emphasizes Empowering Care). Primary duties of this position include performing screenings, intakes, treatment planning and behavioral health follow-up, and working within a multidisciplinary assessment team to increase care for women with substance abuse and justice involvement histories.

Specifically, providing recovery and re-entry services that include:

a) Participate in the provision of ethical services and practices as required by all audit bodies (certification and licensing boards, United Nations Command university, United Nations Command prospects)
b) Work alongside the Lead Peer Recovery Coach/Peer Support to ensure clients/families are enrolled at the time of release from prison, facilitate monthly 1:1 sessions and ongoing follow-up, and assist with comprehensive 6-month release planning.
c) Promote hope and healing among affected individuals blackand trauma, violence and imprisonment through storytelling and strengths-based skills
d) Work as a member of the multidisciplinary Horizons, Reentry and… beauty Evaluation team
e) Attend weekly multidisciplinary meetings, individual supervision and other team meetings
f) Provide documentation services in accordance with program productivity standards.

Minimum education and experience requirements

Bachelor’s degree in human services with coursework related to the mission area. Some positions may require certification to practice as a certified or licensed clinical social worker as required by the North Carolina Board of Social Work Certification.

Required qualifications, competencies and experience

Exceptional organizational skills, time management skills, planning and documentation, and ability to meet clinical needs in a timely manner.

Preferred qualifications, competencies and experience
History, knowledge and at least one year of social work exposure or counseling experience; OR experience with substance abuse populations, sex-specific treatment, child and family counseling, and justice-involved populations, preferably a perinatal setting.

In addition, the ideal candidate should have the following experience:
1. Knowledge black In adults
2. Knowledge of record keeping and administrative duties
3. Skill in assessment, case management, advocacy, and individual and group therapy.
4. Knowledge of women’s needs and concerns, including some exposure to issues such as childhood and adult trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, substance abuse, pregnancy/parenting, and legal and economic difficulties.
5. Ability to work with women of diverse incomes, ages, ethnic/racial groups, and lifestyles.
6. Knowledge of residential environments
7. Knowledge of the supervisory role, especially with assistants.

Expert knowledge of motivational interviewing, 12-step philosophy, trauma therapies, and recovery principles
