The Faculty of History has been seeking an assistant professor in American political history after 1920 and/or the history of the United States in the world since 1920, starting from October 1, 2026.

PostHolder will teach modern American history and supervise research on Bachelor’s, MPHil, and PHD levels. They will help in providing a training course for university study in the first year, North America, Central America, and the Caribbean Sea region, 1775 present, as well as more specialized education in the second or third year of the history of the United States. The successful candidate is also expected to pledge to take his share from the management of faculty members.

We are looking for someone with excellent, personal and organizational communications; Those who can show a commitment to students’ academic support in the college and be able to participate in the life of faculty and the wider university. They will be part of a vital and intellectual reserved research community, which leads to the highest international levels of research and publications. Cambridge hosts one of the largest doctoral programs in the history of the United States outside North America, and is expected to attract second place and train doctoral candidates.

Required qualifications:

• Doctorate in a related topic, gives him the beginning of the appointment
• A strong teaching record and a constant teaching commitment to both university levels and postgraduate studies
• An exceptional record for research and publications for the job presenter
• Experience and/or efficiency for organization and participation in teaching and cooperative research
• Prepare to carry out administrative duties and administrative duties
