The history of art in Suh

NTU’s art history curriculum winning comprehensive knowledge and critical awareness of the global history of art, which is taught through lectures, seminars, field trips, practical projects and confrontations with practitioners. Students are trained in methods and excesses of research and writing about art, with a set of specialties.

The Ministry of Art History at SOH proudly provides a major program in Singapore only in the history of art, as well as graduate research degrees including MA (Research and PHD in the history of art. Students at both university levels and graduate studies are encouraged to follow up on multidisciplinary studies and independent research, which reflects the strengths of the department, school and discipline.

Assistant, assistant or full professor in the history of art

Soh invites distinguished academics to apply for the position of faculty in the rank of assistant, assistant or professor in the history of art.

Requests are welcome by academics who work in any field of art history. Most of the relevant fields include Asian art History – especially The history of East Asia, South Asia and/or West Asia – as well as the history of art for the Islamic world and the history of international contemporary art.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting historical technical research and will also participate in the education of university and postgraduate studies as well as driving/service duties, at a level in line with the expenses of the heavy research university.

The successful candidate will be provided with a generous starting start grant to support its active research agenda and its publications, and it will also be encouraged to secure the grant of competitive research managed by Soh, as well as the College of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and other organizations. A successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop and teach graduate and postgraduate studies courses related to their own research experience.

Successful candidates must have a busy record of the appropriate distinction for the level of the situation in research, teaching and publishing.

Requirements include all levels:

• Doctorate degree in art history or in a related field.
• It showed excellence in the research, as shown in a strong post and a advanced plan for future research and high -quality publications.
• The ability to provide excellent education showed.
• Good communication and personal skills.

In addition, the requirements include the assistant professor and the level of the full professor:

• Confession in the research community, such as invitees, prizes or membership in professional societies.
• The ability to secure research financing has been proven.
• The ability to contribute to the development of the curricula showed.
• A strong record for supervising students, research employees and/or post -doctorate, in addition to directing beginners faculty members.
• Experience in leadership roles and/or service.
