Lecturer in Education/Physical Education and Sport at the University of East Anglia
Faculty of Social Sciences
Salary starts at £48,822 per annum, depending on skills and experience, with annual increases up to £56,535 per annum.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a lecturer to join the Faculty of Education and Lifelong Learning (https://www.uea.ac.uk/about/school-of-education-and-lifelong-learning). In this role, you will contribute to teaching across our undergraduate programs – the Undergraduate Education Group and the BA Physical Education, Sport and Health (PESH) Group – while also supervising students at undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD levels. The position will also include course leadership responsibilities within the BA Education Group.
Based on our vibrant campus, you will benefit from close links with outstanding educational and sporting facilities, including the Sainsbury Visual Arts Center and the UEA Sports Park. You will join a thriving academic community whose research includes sociology, psychology, language and linguistics, art, mathematics, educational leadership, media, sport development, physical activity, health and physical education.
You will have significant teaching experience in higher education, and a demonstrated ability to integrate the latest research and scholarship into your teaching in education and/or physical education. Leadership experience in higher education or a similar setting would be advantageous.

This full-time position is available starting January 1, 2026 on an unspecified basis.
