Junior Strength and Conditioning Coach (fixed term, part time) at the University of Nottingham
location: University Park
The University of Nottingham Sport is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Strength and Conditioning Coach to support the delivery of Strength and Conditioning services to the University of Nottingham sports teams.
In this role, you will collaborate with other members of the Strength and Conditioning team, coaches, and external partners to enhance the student athletic experience. A typical day may include (but is not limited to):
Providing strength and conditioning sessions to University of Nottingham student-athletes.
- Support the operation of the strength and conditioning facility by leading attendance sessions and maintaining the facility and equipment.
- Support delivery of student athletes with special needs and the department’s knowledge base on special needs sports.
- Contribute to strategic projects that enhance student experience and sporting performance at the University of Nottingham.
This is a part-time (0.6 FTE), fixed-term role, and some evening and weekend work may be required to meet the needs of the sports performance programmes. We are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements.

About you
We are looking for a coach who is committed to driving the student experience and delivering performance results through excellent coaching. You would be well suited to this role if:
- You have experience working with student-athletes, with an understanding of the demands placed on student-athletes.
- You are passionate about learning about para sports and can create an environment for para sports athletes to thrive within.
- You have some experience working with sports coaches, physiotherapists and other members of support services or other sports organisations.
- You have a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to engage effectively with students and colleagues.
- You are committed to championing equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of your work.
