The North Carolina University Music Department in Chapel Hill invites requests for full -time job, as a professor in music science, which has been widely defined to include a full set of sub -majors for music studies. It is located in the College of Arts and Sciences, and it includes the faculty in the department composers, connections, band directors, performance artists, researchers and sound engineers who participate in creative and cooperative practices in the context of liberal arts. Critical academic faculty members use and teach methods of cultural studies, ethnom science, historical music science, music theory, folk music studies, audio studies, and more. We are looking for a colleague with a strong research agenda, whose research completes our current strengths, which generates new knowledge in their field. The successful candidate will contribute to our MA/PHD program by teaching graduate students and working cooperatively on the thesis committees of graduate students. They will also teach recently revised music curricula (BA/BMUS) (https://music.unk.edu/undergraduate/transformations- Music-studies- AT-Carolina/) to include our required courses in the field of research-as well as in large general education courses. This position contains a 2-2 teaching load. Candidates must have a record of research related to music study,/or a doctorate, or a bonus degree by the date of the start of the situation.

The primary purpose of organizational unity

Music section in UNC-Chapel Hill offers BMUS and BA in music, MA and Ph.d. In music science for university students and graduate studies. Our educational mission is to teach music and non -galaxies, linking music study to the greatest understanding of the world, and directing graduate students as researchers and teachers. We serve the audience by presenting academic offers and lectures by students, faculty, artists and researchers. We offer more than a hundred concerts and follow -up every year, and our facilities include a modern hall with the possibilities of recording (audio and video) as well as lighting and sound systems. We have 60 full -time faculty and part -time they know about 2,500 students during the school year and 200 other students during the summer school. Through our educational activities, research and suit, we share the multiplicity of music and meanings in music, linking the study of music to the greatest understanding of societies, and emphasizing the importance of music as an expression of humanity.
