The Faculty of Engineering and Computing at the University of Fairfield invites requests to obtain the position of faculty in the field of possession in the classification of assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, pending the approval of the final budget. The preferred start date is the first of September, 2026. candidates are encouraged in all fields of computer science, computer engineering or closely related fields.

DescriptionThis position requires the ability to perform teaching, scholarships and service. The successful candidate will be asked: (1) Development and teaching of graduate studies and graduate courses (lecture and laboratory); (2) Supervising the theses of the MS level, university research, coronation, and higher design projects; (3) Follow -up of scientific activities (including research funded from abroad and publications that the peers reviewed); (4) Evil at academic advice and guidance; And (5) assistance in evaluating the program, implementing the Ministry’s continuous improvement plan, and documents to support ABET accreditation. This position is an academic (9 months), the date of the Popular Path, the salaries competitive and in line with qualifications and experience.

The College of Engineering and Computing is organized in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the Department of Biological Electrical and Medical Engineering, and the Mechanical Engineering Department Michael Zabinsky. The Department of Electrical and Biomedical Engineering is witnessing a steady growth and has developed a new program in Mechatronic Engineering. All programs in the school are accredited. The department is proud of many modern laboratories, including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud computing and the management of the Security Operations Center. The department offers two university degrees in computer science, and many graduate studies programs in cybersecurity, data science and software engineering.

Required qualifications:

• In computer science, computer engineering, or a close related area (achieved by the date of the start of the appointment)
• Effective communication skills (oral and writing)
• The ability to teach both university courses and graduate studies effectively
• The possibility of engaging in research and conducting a related field of research showed, along with a clear post.

Favorite qualifications:

While experienced candidates in all fields of robots and/or independent systems are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to candidates embodied by research robots with artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, or relevant multidisciplinary fields. Other research interests include experience in the realization of robots and learning, multi -robot systems, soft robots, human -focused robots, robots for health care, manufacturing, and societal influence.
