Job title

The Ministry of Earth and Maritime and Environmental Sciences (EMES) is looking for a faculty member in the field of possession at the level of an assistant professor. We are looking for innovative candidates to explore the complex ties between biological, geological and chemical processes that govern cycling for basic elements and organic materials. The main focus is to understand how these courses change through human activities and the consequences of ecosystems. Candidates may apply any set of fields, laboratory and number, including new technologies to develop visions about biological geological chemistry. The areas of potential research, to name a few, include the roles that microbes play in controlling biochemical processes and developing new strategies to remove and restore nutrients and carbon. We especially encourage candidates who apply new multidisciplinary tools to integrate chemical, geological and biological ideas. This includes those who publish analytical techniques or advanced sensors to better measure stocks and rates, apply remote sensing to expansion processes, or integrating biochemical knowledge into ecosystem models and Earth system to improve future environmental change predictions. We are particularly interested in the candidates whose research programs will build strong cooperation with current Emes research, as they benefit from the current experience to move forward in understanding the global environment.

It is expected that individuals in this position will develop and maintain a vital research program funded from abroad and will contribute to the mission of the departments of the next generation of scientists in the problems of land science related to societal. The candidate is expected to teach the preliminary bachelor’s classes that support the growing bachelor’s degree programs.
