Activists must be active research leaders who focus on multidisciplinary work in the fields associated with the coast, such as anthropology/archeology (https://sciences.ucf.edu/anthropolology/), Biology (https://sciences.ucf.edu/biology/), chemistry (https://sciences.ucf.edu/chemistry/), communication (https://communication.ucf.edu/), engineering (https://www.cecs.ucf.edu/), Physics (https://sciences.ucf.edu/physics/), Modeling, political science (https://sciences.ucf.edu/politics/), Sociology (https://sciencees.ucf.edu/sociology/), Or other complementary specializations. They will join a vibrant group of current faculty members who represent ten departments across six colleges.
These new faculty members will lead global global efforts to integrate physical, chemical, biological, social and economic dimensions of coastal systems, including the health of the ecosystems, restoration, flexibility, sustainability, and adaptation. They are expected to strengthen both the Ministry of Interior during the work period (within the College of Science or the College of Engineering and Computer Science) and the UCF COSTAL mission (https://www.ucf.edu/research/sustain-coastal-Systems/).
Each position will take responsibilities in the multidisciplinary research, guidance, teaching, and service. It will reflect the startup and support of the cross -total infrastructure, and the multidisciplinary nature of appointment.

- Attention, ability to lead or high -impact cooperative research programs
- The ability to secure foreign research financing and gain national or international recognition

Minimum qualifications:
A doctorate degree, match degree, or foreign degree from an accredited institution is needed in an UCF -suitable area – including anthropology, biology, communications, computer science, engineering, political science, sociology, or related fields. The chosen candidate (and not repeated) must complete the current experience of UCF COASTAL and must have a clear record of high -influential research or a clear path of future research productivity related to coastal systems as it is clear from a strong scientific record and/or financing commensurate with the arrangement in a department or school in line with the candidate experience.
In line with the basic values of excellence in UCF, society, creativity, and integrity, the ideal candidate will prove a commitment to multidisciplinary cooperation, comprehensive and innovative teaching, and research that progresses in knowledge during community service.
In order to be eligible for appointment as a associate professor in a rental, the chosen candidate must have a clear record in teaching, research and service in a manner that is commensurate with the arrangement in a department or school related to the field of their experience.

We are looking for candidates with coastal planning experience, land use, infrastructure elasticity, mitigation of coastal risks or environmental planning; A strong commitment to multidisciplinary research and publication; Commitment to multidisciplinary and cooperative research at UCF COSTAL; Attention to generating external financing, community participation and partnerships; And active membership in professional organizations.
