Geographical Information Systems Specialist and Assistant Professor

Bordeaux University libraries are welcome to experience spatial geographical information for the position of faculty at the level of an assistant assistant professor. This will be a date for 12 months, financial, with basic responsibilities for the geographical association instructions program at the level of university and graduate studies. Libraries provide a major place for the university in teaching, managing and distributing spatial geographical information, as well as coordinating teaching and communication efforts for the GIS community on the campus. The person will work in this position with the Jewish Information Systems team for libraries to fulfill this task by engaging with the campus community to meet the needs of spatial geographical information. In addition to supporting education programs, this position will also supervise the Cabstone projects for students, advise students in the GIS certificate program, support research projects through spatial geographical analysis and visualization, and management of GIS servers and GIS servers. This situation will also participate in the Spatial Geographical Information Network in the Big Ten Academic Alliance, in awareness efforts such as Purdue Gis Day and BTAA GIS. Bordeaux University’s libraries is an institution participating in the ESRI (EIP) program. The successful candidate for this position will participate in EIP activities and helps in facilitating resources/accessing this program.

The successful candidate will

• Developing and teaching spatial geographical information courses and workshops that include active learning methods in an experimental educational environment.
• Communicate with the campus community to develop multidisciplinary cooperation and research opportunities.
• Work with the GIS team to manage the Geographical Information Systems Certificate program and advise students.
• Cooperation with faculty and library staff to develop education materials.
• Providing personal consultations, phone and phenomenon.
• Work as one team to coordinate participation activities including the GIS Day event, the BTAA GIS conference, the Indianavo program, the ESRI innovation program, etc.

Required qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s degree of Approved or Disciplinary Geographic Information Systems program with a large GIS component.
• Experience in developing educational materials and teaching experience in geographical information systems.
• Experience in the use of geographic information systems programs to store, manage, managing, and display spatial geographical data.
• Experience in creating and managing gestures and GIS server environment.
• Experience with geographic information systems programming and GIS on the Internet.
Experience advice for students.
Experience awareness programs.
• Experience in managing search data.
Advanced research agenda.

Salary and benefits:

The minimum salary is $ 80,000. A salary commensurate with experience in the context of the salary structure at the University of Bordeaux.
