The Nottingham Transporting Center (NTEC) is looking at the position of a very full -time researcher in the position of full -time (36.25 hours) in the field of sustainable sidewalks for 24 months (two years). This role provides an exciting opportunity to cooperate with the internationally recognized academic team in NTEC around the project funded by the Royal Society for the Development of Rural Wind Infrastructure in developing countries.
A successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in developing new research methods, expanding their research portfolio and contributing to the development of technologies such as the use of low carbon materials in the sidewalks. By working closely with international collaborators, the role holder will guarantee that the search results will affect future developments and wide use. In this capacity, a research colleague is expected to prepare high -quality search outputs and grant proposals, including publications in leading magazines and other relevant platforms. Candidates must either obtain a doctorate (or equivalent) in civil, mechanical, or material engineering, or a close field from the heavy research university by the date of the start of this position. Advanced knowledge in bitumen is very desirable, preferably experience in testing materials on the road.
