EOAS is located in a new building (2020) with modern facilities and laboratories, with 36 faculty members and 102 graduate students, and offers university science and/or postgraduate studies in geology, meteorology, ocean sciences, and environmental science. In addition to cooperating with other faculty members within EOAS, the one can expect to cooperate with colleagues in groups such as the Oceanic Prediction Studies Center, atmosphere, mathematics and scientific computing departments. Job title
The Earth, Oceanic and Atmospheric Department (EOAS) at Florida State University (FSU) invites requests to obtain the position of Assistant Assistant Assistant Professor in Earth System Modeling. We are looking for candidates who integrate the knowledge of air sciences in modeling through the associated land system. Research areas of interest, for example, but not limited to, include complex interactions between the atmosphere and other elements of the Earth’s system, such as the oceans, the earth and/or ice; Natural risk modeling, such as hurricanes and forest fires; Teachers based on artificial or hybrid intelligence for operations that have not been resolved for modeling of the Earth system; Modeling of the global or regional territorial system on the standards of storm solution; And high performance computing for weather and climate modeling.
It is expected that the appointed to teach the basic meteorological courses and contribute to both Bachelor’s degree and Postgraduate Studies programs as well as EOAS and the development and maintenance of a strong research program that is funded external in their field of specialized interest. Candidates should hold a PhD, the highest appropriate degree in air sciences or a related field.
