About Aseet

The acceleration of the conversion of societal energy (ACET) is an international multi -partner initiative to accelerate the global payment of flexible and equitable energy solutions through local community cooperation.

ACET was founded at Victoria University in 2023, a partnership between Royal Rhodes University, British Columbia University, Doye Tres Rifier University and Yukon University, with the support of the Fund for Research Excellence in Canada.

On the project of clean energy transformations for society, facilitation

The research project, which facilitates clean energy transformations (FCCET) is a multi -year cooperation between ACET and the Community Energy Association (CEA). CEA is a Canadian organization, which is based on member, non -profit operating since 1995 at the community level to reduce emissions, and to gradually maintain energy and transformation into a low -carbon and flexible economy.

The goal of the project is to improve and expand the tools and processes used to support societies that seek to understand and follow their clean energy and follow up in the end. To achieve this, FCCET will take an applied research lens to some clean energy projects based on the many community in which CEA participates, as well as methods used in working with these societies. Research is expected to be applied across many areas of the topic, including (but not limited to):

• Community energy systems
• Building energy policy and programs (carbon building)
• Transport and infrastructure policy

Some examples of research topics that the project can address include the participation of society, taking community decisions with the help of Amnesty International, complex “planning”, identifying problems created by peers, developing solutions, and developing working capabilities. The final list of research topics that are followed by the project team will be determined by cooperating with CEA and the societies participating in the project. The project team will include research participants, CEA representatives, ACET management team, including ACET research managers, participation manager, strategic research area (SRA), as well as students (Master, PhD, COOP) from various academic backgrounds.

Research design will be implemented and implemented in close cooperation between the two research, CEA, and societies at the heart of each study.

About the research team approach

For this project, we seek to employ researchers with complementary skills and experience. A person who will have a relevant experience in politics and planning (this function) and the second will have experience in the relevant applied science. Researchers are expected to work in close cooperation with each other and lead CEA research throughout the project. In the first year of the project, researchers will create a detailed, multidisciplinary research plan and take the necessary measures to start implementing it (for example, ACET financing proposal, researchers ’employment, etc.). Customers expected will have significant control of the broader research agenda with guidelines from the project’s advisory committee. The committee consists of Dr. Tamara Kraukinko, Dr. Koran Krufford, Acet Cas Participation, CEA representatives, and the Climate Work Secretariat of the Province Government.

About the roles of the main researcher

Politics and Planning Command (This Job Publishing) will provide reports directly to Dr. Tamara Kraukinko and the Applied Science Research Command to Dr. Koran Krufford. Participants will coordinate with ACET research managers and also work closely with the CEA representative who was appointed to contact ACET research projects and submit regular updates to the project guidance committee. Throughout the project, CO-Lead time will be divided between supervising the main elements of the broader FCCET project, including student researchers, and leading the FCCET research initiative in cooperation with the project team. The first six months of the role is expected to focus largely on the establishment of the broader FCCET research project. With the project from concept to implementation, more of their time will be allocated to conduct research in cooperation with the project team.

What the research leadership will do

• Cooperation with one or more of CEA representatives to determine research opportunities and develop a wider FCCET research agenda. The agenda is expected to include multiple search flows.
• With the support of CEA, each of the expected clients in the community specified in the research agenda and amend the agenda as needed to ensure the reflection of their views in the final version.
• With the project team, the development of a fully defined ASET project focuses on the impact of local governments
• The recruitment of researchers who will lead specific currents of the broader FCCET project schedule.
• Officially and/or participates in the supervision of researchers who have been appointed to lead specific flows of the broader FCCet project schedule for the skills, background and research environment.
• Joint research with the project team.
• Help ensure that researchers who lead the other schedules of the project remain on the specified date and are sufficiently supported to achieve their intended results.
• Regular coordination and reporting to the multidisciplinary advisory committee for the project (it is expected to consist of representatives from CEA, ACET, PI, Research Command, the boycott government, and both researchers from the project).
• Cooperation with the ACET Communicity Officer and an official in the field of research on communications, storytelling and mobilization of knowledge (such as presentations, policy summaries, brochures, or videos) to highlight the effect of research on society, as well as preparing academic manuscripts.
• Participated in conferences, seminars and societal events to enhance the participation of knowledge within and outside society.
• Make sure to bring community members as well as research and participate in decision -making processes related to research and delivery design.

• The doctorate graduates with experience in regional development, public policy/administration, urban planning, resource management, societal economic development, or other relevant specializations.
• Knowledge or experience in community participation research.
• Knowledge or experience in society’s energy.
• Knowledge or experience in climate policy and programs.
• Knowledge or experience in workforce skills and training.
• Some administrative experience (for example, budget management, search team management).

• It is also expected to travel to participating societies and will be funded through ACET.
• The applicants should be allowed to work in Canada.
