Assistant Professor – pure mathematics

The Department of Mathematical and Accounting Sciences at the University of Toronto Mississaoga (UTM) calls for full -time applications for the full -time current in the field of pure mathematics. The appointment will be in the rank of assistant professor, with the date of the start of the expected on July 1, 2026. The applicants must have a doctorate in mathematics by the time of appointment, or shortly after that, with a record of excellence in research and teaching. Candidates will be considered in all fields of pure mathematics. We are looking for exceptional candidates that complement the interests of research and teaching and enhance our current strengths. The successful candidate is expected to follow innovative and independent research at the highest international level and create a distinguished and competitive research program from abroad. A successful candidate will be a member of the Department of Graduate Studies at Tri-Campus at the University of Toronto. Candidates must provide evidence of the research excellence that a record of publications can be shown in higher mathematics magazines or upcoming publications that meet high international standards, the presentation of the presented research, presentations in important conferences, prizes, presentations, and strong approvals from high status rulers.
