Production manager position

The College of theater, dance and films at Texas State University seeks to obtain an assistant or assistant professor in education in production management starting in January 2026.

The director of production in the theater department oversees all the functions surrounding the process of rehearsal and production for all theatrical production chosen by the season selection committee to support the educational and technical visions of the theater, dance and films school (SOTDF).
The production manager provides reports to the Sotdf manager and must be available to the nights and weekend holidays.

Required qualifications:

A degree in the relevant field with professional experience at least 5 years (ASST) or 10 years (ASSOC); Experience in production, project, arts management, art theater, or relevant field; Live Events Management Experience; Strong oral/written communication skills; The ability to cooperate effectively showed.

Favorite qualifications:

• 2 years of university experience
• Director of Production/Director of Production Experience
• Experience with project management programs/systems
• Efficiency in autocad and/or vectorworks
• Experience of managing production budget
• Experiment to obtaining the license.

salary: Min $ 60,000 is proportional to arrangement and experience (negotiable)
