location: West Cambridge

The Computer Science and Technology Department seeks to employ a new faculty member at the level of a assistant professor/assistant professor who contributes to research and teaching in algorithms and arithmetic complexity. While the concentration of this date is algorithms and complexity, exceptional applicants from all areas of computer science will be considered.

The department is directed towards the research strongly and has long -term strengths in computer science theoretical sciences, with leading contributions and a current vibrant research environment that extends the complexity algorithms, coding, encryption theory, learning theory, logic, improvement and quantum computing. We enhance close interactions through the theoretical ecosystem, as well as with machine learning, security, physics and mathematics. On a wider scale, Cambridge provides a great research environment through science and technology, with multidisciplinary departments, institutes and centers that provide rich opportunities for cooperation.

We are looking for a candidate who has distinguished research approval data in algorithms and/or arithmetic complexity. The ideal filter will contribute to areas such as the design and analysis of algorithms (for example, random, quantity, approximation, property test, online, broadcast, subcontractor, microscopic elite, distributed/parallel) and/or complexity theory (such as circle and complication, proof, lower boundaries, pseudo-randomness, meta -comxity complexity). They will have a strong international publication record, international vision, and evidence of community service and influence in proportion to the functional stage. The ability to secure research financing to support their vision and build a world -class team is essential, and we can transfer fellowships and research grants that are allowed.

We welcome applications from researchers with multidisciplinary interests who will cooperate across various sub -disciplines in computer science and technology and with other academic fields (for example, mathematics, engineering and economics). Cooperation outside the academic circles is also estimated, including with industrial organizations and the third sector.

All members of the department are supported in developing their research leadership. We provide excellent administrative support through research, financing, communications, finance, employment, and benefit from strong initiatives at the university level in marketing, cooperation, ethics and multidisciplinary centers.
