Job Announcement: Health Records Program Supervisor

Main purpose of the job
This position is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, maintaining and evaluating the Thomas B. Finan Center health records program as well as supervising the Health Records Technician II.
Minimum qualifications
expertise: Six years of experience compiling and maintaining health records.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute an Associate of Arts degree in Medical Records Science from an accredited college or university and four years of experience in health records collection and preservation for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute possession of current registration as a Health Information Technician registered by the American Health Information Management Association for two years of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute two years of experience supervising employees involved in processing and maintaining health records in a health records program for a health care facility or program for two years of the required experience.
4. Candidates may substitute military service experience in the U.S. Armed Forces as a noncommissioned officer in the medical records classifications or patient management specialists and health services management specialty codes in the health records management work area on an annual basis for the required experience.
