Research Fellow (110948-1025) at the University of Warwick

For informal inquiries, please contact Scott Habershon (Professor) at s.habershon@warwick.ac.uk

The Habershon Research Group at the University of Warwick is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow in Computational Chemistry.

The research fellow will work on a new project focused on developing and implementing automated computational schemes for the direct design of catalysts for CO2 conversions. By combining automated reaction detection (ARD) simulations with micro-kinetic simulations that use rapid, machine-learned reaction rate assessments, this project will provide an exciting new path to addressing one of society’s great challenges – turning carbon dioxide from a pollutant into a commodity.

The successful candidate will work at the Warwick Center for Computational and Theoretical Chemistry (CaTCh), based in the Department of Chemistry. CaTCh is a vibrant community of 6 academic research groups – around 40 PhDs and research fellows in total – with strong interdisciplinary links for researchers in engineering, physics, mathematics and life sciences.

This project is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and is available for 36 months (subject to satisfactory completion of exam requirements).
