JEE Main Registration 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to start the registration process for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 soon. The agency has already activated the demo registration link on demo.nta.nic.in, allowing students to familiarize themselves with the process before the official registration begins.

As per the notification dated September 29, 2025, JEE Main 2026 registration is scheduled to begin in October. However, the deadlines have not been announced yet. Once the registration window opens, eligible candidates can apply online at jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.nic.in
Candidates aspiring to pursue undergraduate Engineering (BE/BTech), Architecture (BArch) and Planning (BPlanning) programs will be required to complete the online registration process through the official websites.

How to Apply for JEE Main 2026

Applicants can follow the below steps to register for JEE Main 2026:

• Visit the official website at jemain.nta.nic.in
• Click on the JEE Main 2026 registration link given on the home page.
• A new registration page will open.
• After successful registration, log in using the application number and password generated by the system.
• Fill out the application form and pay the exam fees.
• Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
• Keep a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

JEE Main 2026 Exam Schedule and Counseling

JEE Main 2026 will be conducted in two sessions – the first in January 2026 and the second in April 2026. NTA has advised candidates to ensure that their Aadhaar card, UDID card (for persons with disabilities) and category certificate are up to date to avoid any discrepancies or rejection at later stages of the admission process.

• There is no age limit for JEE Main.
• No minimum marks in Class 12 are required to appear in the exam.
