Overview of the situation
The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Kanas University (KU) is looking for distinguished individuals for a full time, in the rank of assistant professor in computer science. Successful candidates will have research that shows strong potential for cooperation with the current faculty members and complement the current strengths of the administration. We are particularly interested in exceptional individuals who have experience in one or more of the following areas, including but not limited to: computer vision, artificial intelligence, cyber physical systems, robots, compact systems, and computer architecture. Applicants must have a doctorate in computer science or a close field at the time of appointment. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the United States by the date of appointment validity.
EECS is the largest department at Kuwait University College of Engineering with 42 faculty members and a search volume of more than $ 13 million annually. Faculty members participate in research projects in multiple areas of attention through the department, the Information Science Institute (i2S), the remote sensing center and integrated systems (Cresis), and the Kuwait University Medical Center. EECS Department offers university degrees, graduate studies in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, cybersecurity and applied computing. In the department there are approximately 1,100 university students and 300 graduate students.
Kansas University is the leading university in the state, R-1 and one of only 66 members in the prestigious association of American universities (AAU). Job title
40 % teaching Teaching graduate and graduate studies courses in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Participate in academic advice for university students and graduate studies. Graduate studies in research and work as a major consultant and head of the doctoral and doctorate thesis committees.
40 % search Conducting and conducting research in the research centers/laboratories associated with the administration. Establishing a strong agenda to research in the areas of experience that interfere, support or expand the current research in the department, which leads to supporting external grants and publishing in recognized magazines and conference procedures. Cooperation with faculty members and professional employees on the university campus.
20 % service Performing the Performance Department, Schools, University, and Vocational Service usually from the faculty members at the university in a manner commensurate with the rank. Participate in local, national, international professional conferences and other activities appropriate for discipline. Performing other duties as appointed by the head of the department.
Required qualifications
- PhD, or its equivalent in computer science or a close field by appointment time.
- The possibility of teaching graduate and graduate studies at the university level showed.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas as shown in application materials, including but not limited to: computer vision, artificial intelligence, cyber physical systems, robots, compact systems, and computer architecture.
