Assistant Professor in Philosophy at the London College of Economics and Political Science

The salary is not less than 68,087 pounds annually and the salary scale can be found on LSE.

The Ministry of Philosophy, logic and the scientific method is committed to doing philosophy in a continuous way with social and natural sciences and are socially related. It is also committed to creating a comprehensive environment for philosophical discussion that communicates with a wide range of views. It seeks to appoint an assistant professor who will contribute to the intellectual life of administration and the school by publishing distinguished research, participating in excellent education, assuming dedicated administrative roles, and participating in the broader activities of both.
Candidates must have experience and research interests in the field of philosophy that has a great research relationship with sustainability. Candidates must be able to develop a new course in philosophy and sustainability, and be able to make a major contribution led by the research in the basic teaching item of the administration. This role is fully based in the Department of Philosophy, logic and science, but it includes intense cooperation with the new global sustainability faculty of LSE (GSOS). Candidates are expected to commit to this cooperation and ready to contribute to GSOS activities. So we are particularly welcome to the candidates whose work is on GSOS Five research topics.
Candidates will have a busy record or a path for excellent international publications and the ability or the possibility of publishing them in leading magazines or with leading book publishers in philosophy. Candidates must also have a sophisticated strategy for distinguished research in the future that have the ability to lead to leading publications in the world. They will have, or be close to obtaining a PhD in philosophy or a closely related field to the start date. In addition, candidates will have a commitment to high -quality teaching and enhance a positive educational environment, as it is clear from the reactions of students and colleagues.
