The University of Winthroub, a comprehensive public institution recognized at the national level, invites requests to obtain an assistant/assistant professor in graphic design. This is a 9 -month full -time date in the design department within the Faculty of Vaccues and Performance in Rock Hill, South Carolina. We are 25 miles away from Charlotte, the prosperous design community and arts in North Carolina and the international airport. The department’s facilities include the manufacturing laboratory on campus, art studios and design, studio/ special faculty members on the campus and in the center of Rock Hill. The newly opened J. Robert Bazemore Center offers a historic tissue factory that has been renewed on a few buildings from the campus – additional studios and cooperative spaces for teaching, research and partnerships with society and industry.

Applicants must show a compliance with a multidisciplinary cooperative approach in design studies – especially at the basis. The candidate will show experience at all levels of discipline in graphic design; Especially in print design practices (for example, printing, magazine planning, stickers and super -creating), focusing on pre -pressure standards and producing the prints needed to produce stickers, magazines, books, brochures and other printed media.

The ideal filter will be a pioneer in the field of graphic design, with experience in teaching at all levels of curriculum. The candidate will have a previous participation in advising students, curriculum development and cooperation with faculty members. They should show previous participation while promoting the program by communicating with industry and society to support employment and retain the success of students.

The responsibilities of the situation

Teaching 15-18 hours of communication semester.
Teach university courses through the comprehensive model design and education curriculum.
Merging status studies in the real world, professional practice, standard industry tools, and effective workflow in courses.
Contribute to continuous evaluation at the program level, continuous improvement of curricula, learning and learning.
Enhancing the program to the internal and external masses to support growth and employ students.
Ensuring the program compatible with institutional and accreditation policies/ policies.
Contribute to the part -time graphic design members.
Provide academic advice and guide students.
Help in building internal training, practical processes, and other experimental learning opportunities with the support of the Winthrop Center for Job Development and Internal Training.
Maintaining the currency in the field by practicing graphic design, teaching science, and emerging techniques.
Keep a scholarship record, and/or creative work.
Participate in the service, colleges and university.

Qualifications
required:

Candidates must have a final degree in graphic design, visual communication, or in the field of closely related design.
Candidates must have 3-5 years in the rank of teaching experience at the university level and have shown high-quality education.
Advance efficiency with contemporary action tools/workflow for graphics design (for example, Adobe Creative Cloud, knowledge of print production before pressure) and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
Installed effectiveness and collective work in the leading teams and initiatives through stakeholders.
The ability to contribute to conceptual development, program strategy and design vision.
Evidence of successful student advice, employment, retaining, and job restoration initiatives.
Prepare for cooperation, communication and contribute to the growth of the department.

Empty of printing on the web, web design using HTML (hyperproofing text coding language), CSS (consecutive pattern leaves), and SASS (terrible pattern leaves).
