The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Rice in Houston, Texas, calls for applications for a job at the Faculty of Handicrafts in the field of atomic, molecular, or visual experimental physics, and focuses on quantum sciences, which include quantum information processing. Attractive candidates will interact intellectually to the subjects in the intense material and quantum information theory. We are looking for distinguished scientists whose research will complete the current quantum activities within the department and through the university. In addition to developing an independent and strong research program, it is expected that the successful applicant will teach, on average, a course in the university stage or graduate studies in each semester, and contribute to the service tasks in the department and university. The administration expects to set an appointment at the level of an assistant professor. PhD in physics or relevant field is required by June 30, 2026.
