Summary of the situation

The Department of Art and Design at the University of Memphis calls on the requests of an assistant professor in graphic design. This position provides an opportunity to help form and launch the proposed baccalaureate program (B.DES). The program is designed in the spirit of Memphis mat and grinding, and it is designed for the future of design: creativity meets technology and bold ideas are converted into influential experiences.

The proposed B.DES will cultivate students to become a ready -made multi -user designers who can move smoothly between identity, digital media, interactive experiences, expansion capabilities in obstetric design and AI.

We are looking for a designer who is a maker and a teacher, an active practitioner that pushes the boundaries in their work and a teacher ready to provide students with tools, flexibility and vision necessary to lead the scene of a constant change design. The ideal candidate will help formulate the studio -based study curricula that rely on experimentation, applied learning and vocational growth with the opposite of raw energy and Memphis’s creativity.
