Have you thought about becoming a university professor after military service? It is one of the functions of dreams that I hear about the transmission of senior military members, both officers and recruits. As a lifetime learners, it seems that one professor of these Jobs that make a difference. After the old warriors moved, he told me that they could not even get the interview.

“There are huge barriers there,” Cathy Roth Dukit, CEO of Blue Star families, said in a recent interview. “People want to do this much more. In the absence of being famous or a previous relationship with the university you can develop, doing anything more than you are a assistant professor is very impossible.”

Chamberlain ProjectIt is an initiative from the Blue Star families, which is building a bridge to transport military members to enter academic circles, especially in some of the most famous liberal arts colleges in the country. The program not only aspires to enable old warriors, but also gives students a more prominent relationship with military professionals who have devoted their lives to public service. This is an invaluable experience for those students who will become future leaders in politics, politics and industry.

It is an exciting development of old warriors as well. Like contracting with our heroes and American companies, they help bridge the gap to Fortune 500 companies, Blue Star Familes is the same in universities through these fellowships.

How does the fellowship work

As a colleague, the recipient is paid either a salary for the research or become a retired officer who taught a colleague in teaching two semesters in the semester. This schedule gives them time for their transitional tasks as well as getting used to academic pregnancy. The university pays half of the salary, and the Chamberlain project pays the other half.

To qualify for the program, the applicants must currently move the army. They do not need a wide -ranging teaching experience, but they must have already completed their final certificate – which means the highest possible degree in their profession. This is usually a doctorate, but peripherals can also include a doctor of law (JD) in law, a doctorate in medicine (MD), or a doctorate in business management (DBA) or PhD in Education (ED.D.).

Candidates must complete the online application form, including a letter of attention and course in a current method (CV). The next regiment’s requests will be opened on August 4. 2025.

Naval Veteran Matthew Hawks, who is a PhD in Operations Research, only complements a fellowship. On his last mission, he taught the possibilities and statistics in the United States Maritime Academy. However, even as a professor, he expected difficulty in storming the university system due to the recruitment process. Universities require advanced certificates and publishing records, in addition to knowledge and network in academic culture.

“Most schools rent a competitive research in the country, which is one of the tallest schools in any industry – nearly a year,” Hoks told me. “This is the beauty of the Chamberlain project. They have been able to transfer my CV to schools and market marketing for me.”

At George Town University in Washington, DC, Hawx taught two semesters each semester in statistics and slope analysis.

“I really like teaching, but I had to adapt to the mentality of the civil student,” said Hoks. “I had to get to know students more to find out what will motivate them.”

He found that he had to change the examples he used and take more time for guidance. The hawks were offered to extend his contract for another public teaching in Georgetown.

The program has already obtained partnerships with prominent institutions. While the full list of expansion, some of these prestigious colleges include Amharest College in Massachusetts, George Town University and Howard University in the country’s capital, Hamilton in New York and the University of Weslian in Connecticut.

“We hope this program will encourage the old warriors to finish the doctorate and bring in invaluable life experiences in the semester,” said Ruth Dockett.
