About xjtlu

In 2006, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool (XJTLU) was established by Liverpool University and Xianan Jiaotong-of the Top Ten University in China. Xjtlu offers a unique international educational experience, combining excellent research practice with experiences from both institutions and gives students the skills and knowledge they need to secure jobs in a global market. Xjtlu now has more than 25,000 students registered in both Suzhou and Liverpool in the United Kingdom, with plans to grow to about 28,000 students by 2025. There are currently about 2000 employees, including about 1,000 faculty members, with almost a division between the citizens of the Republic of China and international employees. Xjtlu provides our university students and work more than 100 programs with a variety of courses.

Xjtlu enters a new and exciting stage of its development as part of its strategic priorities during the next ten years. Adoption of a new model for higher education that depends on the concept of education (SE), Xjtlu currently opens a new site for education in Taicang, which is part of the wider suzhou, where Entrepreneur (Taicang) is located. Taicang will be a pioneer on future and educational campus in facing the challenges arising from the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Other new initiatives include new business partnerships with Xi’an Jiaotong University, the continuous development of the new four academies, and the exploration of other potential sites to develop a SE model.

Focusing on innovative learning and teaching, and research, Xjtlu depends on the strengths of its mother universities, and plays a pivotal role in facilitating access to China to the United Kingdom and other institutional partners. At the same time, Xjtlu explores future education by mixing educational theory and best practices and culture from the West and East.

About the International Business School (IBSS)

IBSS at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is growing in size and influencing the pursuit of its vision to be a leading international business school. The school is based on strong principles of dowry, innovation, inspiration and integrity, which together guarantees a positive impact on society through teaching, research and commercial participation. In this chase, IBSS became the smallest business school that is adopted by the association to enhance group business schools (AACSB) in 2016, and again, the smallest school to receive Equis accreditation in 2018.

The five IBSS departments are accountability, economy, financing, smart operations, marketing, strategic management and institutions that include more than 170 faculty members and more than 6000 students from more than 60 different countries. IBSS offers a set of university levels, postgraduate studies, Business and PhD Master and Executive Education in all major business disciplines.

The Smart Operations and Marketing Department (IOM) is a global team of scientists specializing in operations and supply operations, project management, information systems, and marketing. We offer innovative programs for university students, graduate and doctorate studies with strong foundations in AI and data analyzes. Faculty members regularly publish in higher magazines including MIS Quarterly, Operations Management Magazine, Information Systems Research, Retail Magazine, Marketing Sciences Academy Magazine, and Marketing Magazine. Responsibilities

As part of our growth, including the main amendment of our BA marketing program, we are looking for an assistant professor/participant in marketing. A successful candidate will appear or have a proven teaching, research and academic service, appropriate for the job stage. They will contribute to administrative teaching programs for both levels of university and graduate studies, supervision of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral students, and support the department’s research strategy.

The main teaching areas may include:

Qualifications/experiments

Basic qualifications/experience

The successful applicant is expected to appear to the position of full professor also:

  • Doctorate in marketing or close field (completed by the time of appointment; doctoral candidates will be considered in the last year if the requirements are fulfilled by January 1, 2026).
  • Evidence of high -quality research with posts in the reputable magazines that the pendant reviewed; For early academics, a strong pipeline for promising work.
  • A strong commitment to excellence in teaching on both university levels and graduate studies.
  • Clear potential (assistant professor) or a busy record (associate professor) to supervise theses and/or doctoral students.
  • The ability and willingness to attract external research financing.
  • International teaching, research, or professional experience.
  • Organizational skills, teamwork and excellent communication, with the ability to work cooperatively in multidisciplinary and international environments.
  • A recognized educational qualification (for example, PGCERT), or preparing for one.

Desired qualifications/experience

It is preferable that the successful applicant prefers the following features:

  • Experience or ready to engage in academic service and leadership roles.
  • Research interests that complement or extend the strengths in the departments.
  • Strong industry links and/or applied search experience.
  • Evidence of innovative teaching principles science, including digital learning tools or experimental teaching curricula.
  • Evidence of the ability to contribute to curriculum design, software development, and academic innovation.

Citizenship and visa regulations

Employment is organized at the University of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool under Chinese labor laws, and must comply with the district government regulations. These regulations provide for a qualification for legal work regarding obtaining work permits and visas. Please note that candidates over 65 years old may not be eligible to obtain a business visa in China, public relations.
