About the role

The Ministry of Education, in cooperation with Saint -An College, seeks to appoint a full -time associate professor for language education. The appointment will be at the beginning for five years at this point, upon completion of a successful review, the holder of the pregnant woman will be qualified to reset the retirement era.

Assistant Professor is available from January 2026 or as soon as possible after that. In conjunction with a non -affiliated fellowship at St. Ann College, more details about the fellowship can be found in the job description.

The mail holder will conduct internationally leading research on applied linguistics and linguistic education, including attracting projects funded in this field. The postal holder will also contribute through a set of academic programs in the department including MSC in applied linguistics, the second language acquisition program (MSC ALLA), a master’s degree in applied linguistics for language teaching, a master’s degree in learning and teaching (modern languages) and PGCE (modern languages). You will develop and implement high -quality research, related to language learning and/or teachers teaching in language education and linguistics, depending on this activity to inform all works related to the above programs. You will be asked to take administrative duties and examine duties according to the administration’s request.

The successful candidate must have:

• Doctorate, related to the field of language education.
• An excellent record of high -quality posts reviewed by the peers, in proportion to the functional stage.
• Wide knowledge of current issues and future trends in the field of applied linguistics and linguistic education, in terms of their importance in practice, politics and theory
• A noticeable record of the research funded in the field of language education, suitable for the functional stage.
• Great experience in teaching, supervision and examination at a higher level.
• A strong record of cooperation and teamwork.
• Experience in a wide range of research methods.
