A full professor in German linguistics that focus on contemporary German (salary group W3)

In the German Studies and Comparison Department. This is a full and durable position to be filled by the possible start date.

We seek to appoint an internationally recognized leader in German linguistics, focusing on contemporary German. Candidates are expected to specialize in connotations,/, dictionary,/or pragmatism, as it is clear through internationally relevant visual research. We welcome the theoretical approach based on the experimental methods of data collection and data analysis (including quantitative, body or experimental methods). The professor will participate in all undergraduate and master’s degrees that include the German department and in all educational grades programs (primary schools and middle and high schools, in German Grundschule, Mittelschule, Realschule and Gymnasium). It is also expected that the successful candidate will participate in research activities within the research group “dimensions of construction space” and in multidisciplinary centers for linguistics, as well as participation in international partnerships and exchanges.

A successful candidate will have a busy record in research and teaching. They have to obtain a university degree and a doctorate degree in relevant discipline and additional qualifications after the doctorate (either academic qualifications or equivalent). These qualifications may also have been achieved in the context of non -universities or through the position of novice faculty (for example as an assistant professor).

The successful candidate is expected to make administrative duties and take a pre -emptive approach to increasing third -party financing. FAU follows the policy of guiding intensive students and faculty will be present during the lecture periods. Candidates are able to teach in English and German.
