A rare library and library books

This position is a date for a possession, a date from the faculty members for a period of 12 months in the rank of assistant professor at the library / assistant or associate professor in the library / assistant.

The Arkansas University libraries seek a cooperative and enthusiastic library secretary to direct the management of the growing group of rare books and the Arkansas print materials in private groups and join a dynamic education team to help expand the scope of learning that has become possible by the department to more classes, programs, researchers and students. The basic duty of this position is to facilitate coordination between the Department of Special Groups, acquisitions, indexing and conservation departments within the division of groups and open initiatives. The rare books and the Instructions Career will be an active member of the instructions and communication team in private groups, and in coordination with the team on the planning of education and the development of curricula, the use of classrooms, exhibition, events and exhibitions. The minimum qualifications

  • Master’s degree in the library or information science from an ALA or an equivalent institution
  • Experience showed work in preparing the library
  • Experience appears with special groups and describing rare and operational books
  • Experience in providing public service through instructions/educational programs, reference, and/or communication/external participation in an academic or professional environment

Favorite qualifications

  • Teaching, professional background or experience in the subject in a field of current or potential collection, including the history of the book and literature, the books of artists and the Zenin, Arkansas, and the Mississippi Valley, or the history and culture of Africa.
  • Experience in digital humanities research or project development
  • Experience with or ready to learn to develop assembly and/or assembly assessment
