The Department of Philosophy at Lingnan University is one of the best analytical philosophy in Asia. It has special strengths in the science of aesthetics, ethics, philosophy, metaphysics, philosophy of reason, philosophical logic, philosophy of science and political philosophy. In addition to the presence of a prosperous research community, the department will launch a Bachelor of Arts (with honors) in philosophy and the artificial intelligence program from 2025-26 and is presented in the artificial intelligence of the arts and the future “in conjunction with the catastrophic risk center in Hong Kong (HKCRC).

The administration seeks to appoint an assistant researcher professor who can either teach a specialized course in the specified theory or effectively cover the current departments courses to enable a current colleague to teach the group theory cycle. Although preference will be granted to experienced candidates in the specific theory, this is not a strict condition. We welcome requests from candidates who have the efficiency of teaching in the specific theory or explain the ability to teach the training courses currently by other members of management (including critical thinking, artificial intelligence philosophy, and deductive logic).

Candidates must have a PhD in philosophy (or relevant specializations) by starting appointment and record of publications in philosophy, preferably in leading magazines.

The candidates must have obtained/granted a doctorate or an equivalent qualification Five years Before starting the appointment. The appointed person is expected to either teach a cluster course entitled “Introduction to theory and Applications” (which will be open to all levels of university students at the university) or to assume the responsibilities of teaching that allows the colleague of departments to hand over this specialized course. In addition, he/she is expected to conduct concentrated research, publish scientific outputs in respectable international magazines, apply for peer -resistant competitive grants from the Hong Kong Research Council, and other local/external competitive grants. Teaching experience in university program levels is a specific feature.

Research: The Assistant Professor Researcher (1) will conduct research and provide papers to the best magazines (for example, including magazines 3*/4*that are classified according to the list of the current departments magazine), (2) organizing seminars, reading groups, workshops or research activities with other relevant (especially with regard to the initiatives of the new departments).

Teaching: The teaching burden will be three courses annually, and it will be distributed according to the needs of the administration and a joint agreement. The English language will be the language of education. The appointed may be asked to teach training courses on both the first university stage, teach the level of graduate studies, and supervise student projects. The potential courses to be taught include: Introduction to identifying theory and applications, critical thinking, artificial intelligence philosophy, and other courses in the field of the candidate’s experience that meets the needs of departments.

Service: The appointed will perform administrative duties and was appointed by the head of the department according to the current guidance.

Date

The conditions for appointment will be able to compete. The start of the salary will be suitable for qualifications and experience. Additional advantages include annual leave, medical benefits and dental, the mandatory savings fund, graphics, and the traffic allowance and injection of the qualified assignment. Usually, a preliminary contract is appointed for one year renewable, subject to the availability of financing.
