Artificial Intelligence Philosophy (AI)

The Department of Philosophy at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, calls for requests for a full -time possession path in the philosophy of elegant intelligence (AI), starting from August 25, 2026. This is an appointment for the academic year and will be at the level of an assistant professor or a full or full professor.

We are particularly interested in prominent scientists who work at the intersection of the philosophy of artificial intelligence, knowledge sciences, or the philosophy of artificial intelligence and morals, which have been widely interpreted to include the standard social or political dimensions of Amnesty International. This position is part of a group of four new positions related to Amnesty International in the departments of philosophy, linguistics, psychology, and psychiatry, and all four faculty will have the opportunity to form the Winberg Institute for Cognitive Sciences. We are looking for a researcher who will be able to cooperate with individuals from these units in order to address the basic questions in the philosophy of artificial intelligence. In addition, the successful candidate for this position must have a strong commitment to excellence in research, teaching and service.

The normal teaching pregnancy of the LSA active faculty members is four sessions in the school year. The fields of responsibility for teaching include preliminary and upper bachelors classes and postgraduate seminars.
