In this post:

location: John Krebes Field Station, Wittam, Oxford, Ox 2 8QJ / Life and Mind Building, South Parks Road, Oxford Ox1 3el

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of a new field of research to explore the interaction between the vision of birds and collision with human things origin. This project aims to: (1) to reshape our knowledge of how birds use landmarks by revealing the visual signals that focus on them during flying; (2) Detecting mechanisms through which human activity affects the movement of animals; (3) Generating benefits for both society and the environment by directing possible mitigation strategies; And (4) leadership of technological progress by developing new algorithms for independent navigation.

About you

You have the ability to stand alone and make decisions, you will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for posts, make research and results proposals, and represent the research set at meetings. You will have experience in managing a separate field independently for a research project and actively cooperating in developing research articles for publications. It will join a prosperous group of researchers whose focus is on flying and bird vision, in the global aviation laboratory facilities at the John Krebes Research Station and Witham, at Oxford University.

The candidates who presented the final doctoral thesis at the interview point and are waiting for the final exam are qualified to take this role.
