The situation is for a post -doctoral world with experience works with mouse models of aging and reproductive neurological diseases. The behavioral and molecular descriptions of the genetically modified mice will lead. The relevant experience witnessed by at least one influential publication is necessary.

It will join the leading research program in Dr. Ann Bertolotti, which focuses on innovative methods to save cells from poor protein, a condition in the origin of many human diseases, including neurological degenerative diseases. One of these methods is the targeting of EIF2A and Kinases to increase the capacity of protein quality (see Tsaytler et al., 2011, Science, 332, 91-4; and das et al KrZyzosiak, A., Sigurdardtir, A. Et al. , A. (2018). Cell, 174 (5), 1216-1228.e19; Schneider K. Others, (2020), September 15; 32 (11): 108154, cell reports; 1.pitera, AP, and others,. Embo J 41, E109985 (2022); Szaruga M. et al. , Nat commun. 2023; Rai S, and others. J Cell Biol. 2024.). The Bertolotti team has an excellent record of innovative basic research that leads to medical applications.

It will join a strong -disciplinary team in LMB, which has extensive experience that extends from biochemistry, structural biology, chemical, molecular and cells to genetically modified animal models of neurological degenerative diseases. The work will be supported by an excellent team in our mouse facility.

You will be ambitious, creative and not afraid, able to invent new ways to explore the unknown. You will have a PhD in neuroscience, molecular biology / genetics, pharmacy, or due to full doctoral studies within 6 months of application. The interests in aging and neurological diseases are desirable. The relevant experience with mouse models is necessary, and this should be the best approval through at least one influential publication.

You will enjoy interacting with a multidisciplinary dynamic team that shares a passion for science and commitment to exploring the unknown.

This is a three -year training position that is suitable for you if you have recently completed your doctoral studies, or you are looking forward to moving to a new research specialization and/or you need to develop your research skills. By working with our international scientists, it will work in an institute famous for its excellent scientific facilities and high -quality research.

LMB has a cooperative work culture and a modern building on the campus of biomedical medicine in Cambridge.
