“Recently, Heathrow and other European airports have suffered on flights due to electronic attack.”

There were hundreds of delays and cancels in flying on Saturday as a result of a huge electronic attack on a well -known airline software that caused major problems at important European airports, including Berlin, Brussels and Hathero in London.

Thousands of travelers were left waiting for long lines after the attack dropped the check -in systems and dropped electronic luggage, forcing the airport employees to return to manual treatment.

This disorder was caused by an “online disorder” that specifically targeted Collins Aerospace, a section of RTX (previous Raytheon technologies).

The Muse for Business, which enables many airlines to share the climbing gates, and check off offices, was not useful for use.

Important operational slowdown caused the compulsion of airports to separate from the affected systems and manually treat passengers.

Brussels Airport

The attack occurred on Friday night and had a “great impact on the schedule of flights”, which led to the abolition and multiple delays. Long waiting times were also checked at Brandenburg Airport in Berlin, while Dublin and Cork airports in Ireland witnessed a “simple impact”, as some airlines turned into handicrafts.

Travelers suffered from disturbances as a result of technology malfunction. Passengers at Terminal 4 in Heathrow reported that they were standing in a queue for more than two hours, while airline employees handled the scanning records and the tagged bags manually.

Lucy Spencer, who spoke to the BBC, said the passengers were forced to return to the checkpoints where hundreds were already waiting for tickets to climb to mobile devices did not work at the gate.

RTX

The impact on “clients and luggage drops” is restricted, according to RTX, who admitted the electronic attack on Collens Aerospace in “Selected Airports”.

The company confirmed that its employees “are actively working to solve the problem and restore full jobs” and that hand -sharing methods may reduce the effect.

The affected airports, such as Heathrow, have sent more employees to help passengers in the meantime and encouraged travelers to check their flights with individual airlines before reaching the airport.

Flightaware reports, a flight tracking service, stating that hundreds of aircraft were delayed throughout Saturday at the affected airports. At Brussels Airport, 10 cancellations and 17 trips were confirmed more than an hour late.
