a description
Eric and Windy Schmidt Fellowship at the University of Chicago is looking for scientists who seek progress and accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in natural sciences. The rise of artificial intelligence in science and engineering represents a noticeable opportunity and a deep challenge to man -centered patterns, including not only data analysis, but also experiment design, formulating new hypotheses, and detecting natural laws. Looking at the multidisciplinary nature of artificial intelligence research in science, freedom and independence will be presented in following up their research related research, including flexibility in changing or expanding their research and working with multiple research groups during the university.
The colleagues will have the opportunity to follow the original research on important questions in artificial intelligence and science. It is a group of senior scientists in natural sciences and engineering who participate in training and joint research activities. Fellows will receive training in artificial intelligence methods needed to conduct their research. Depending on the university’s highest -rated programs, world -famous faculty, and the ecosystem of vibrant data sciences, this program allows colleagues to participate in the field specified research. It is equally important for our colleagues to work and grow in a supportive environment and focus on societal and career development; As such, this program includes lectures focusing on professional communication and development, and aims to develop a variety of civilians who follow professions in AI in science research. Fellow opportunities to direct many activities of the program can build their leadership skills and ensure that activities are well aligned with their needs and interests.
Qualifications
Fellows must obtain a PhD in Natural Sciences, Engineering, or the associated field that was completed before their fellowship started and did not get before 2021.

- Research statement 2-3 (except for the references) that describes the research contributions of the candidate, highlighting: the importance and the potential impact of its previous research contributions and planned in natural sciences and engineering, a proposal to explore the role of artificial intelligence in their research, evidence of the candidate’s readiness for our training program, and the evidence for independence in activities, (EG, searching for the symposium).
- CV of the candidate, including the list of posts and other research artifacts (for example, the software available to the public).
- Three secret messages to recommend.
