The successful candidate will join the newly -established EPSRC research center in sustainable engineering plastic – cooperating with a value of £ 13 million between Warwick University, Manchester University and the University of London College.
This ambitious program addresses sustainability challenges for engineering plastic in the transportation, electronics and construction sectors. It searches for a wide range of solutions, including new materials, digital technologies, re -use and repair strategies, recycling and operating methods, and integrated sustainability assessments. HUB provides a very cooperative and multidisciplinary environment, where researchers work after doctorate and doctoral students closely with industry partners across sectors and institutions to develop practical solutions that support social, economic and environmental sustainability of engineering plastic.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative research colleague with a doctorate with experience in polymer and engineering science, polymer chemistry, or relevant discipline, with strong interest in recycling and sustainability. The successful candidate will contribute to many cooperative work packages aimed at enhancing the sustainability of engineering plastic, with a special focus on the basic polymer sciences application on industry -related challenges.
Since we are cooperating with multiple roles, we welcome experienced candidates in treating polymer, polymer engineering, mechanical recycling, sustainable and reflective polymer chemistry, or sustainability assessment. The pregnant woman will work closely with academic and industrial partners to develop implementable and high -impact solutions that enhance the generalization in the field of engineering plastic.
We are looking for strong communication that flourishes in a multidisciplinary environment, with the ability to cooperate effectively while taking the initiative and leading independent research. Planning and time management skills are excellent necessary, allowing you to set clear goals, manage time tables and provide results efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include a pioneering role in developing polymer processing methods, innovative recycling, chemistry, and description techniques to enhance the circular of polymer and sustainability. In addition, it will contribute to the formation of the strategic direction of the research group, and actively engaging in exchanging knowledge with colleagues and collaborators, and publishing the results reached through highly influential magazine publications and conference shows.
