We are looking for the director of practices with expertise, dynamic and cooperative practices (DPM) who will benefit from their strong business acumen to advance revenue growth and ensure sustainable financial health of our intellectual property department. This leadership position participates in this influence with the chief employee of practice and leadership management in the department to enhance operations, align strategic goals, and provide exceptional support to all intellectual property lawyers and legal teams.
This position is mixed and offers a 3 -day working schedule per week on the site in our office in Philadelphia or Atlanta.

Your role:
- As the director of the practice management of our IP department, your responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Supervising daily commercial operations including financial health, internal organization, business development, practice/employment expansion, and supervision of fees profit.
- Working with the head of the department to lead regular meetings for senior members, lawyers and leaders of the practice group by developing a strategic agenda that focuses and provides productivity, employment, financial performance, business development, and cooperation through offices.
- Support the creation/implementation of business and marketing plans for practice groups.
- Supervising the process of approving the department for all new matters in conjunction with the process of taking the new material.
- Operations management on the plane, lawyers and professionals in the field of business.
- Monitor financial performance by reviewing financial reports/information panels; Management of non -anxious expenses; And contribute to the quarterly assembly committees.
- Supervising professional teams, focusing on accuracy and practical and improving the system.
- Ensure that ParaProfessionsals gets the appropriate supervision, as well as continuous training and ongoing participation.
- Organizing business and programming schedules for department’s meetings, including quarterly partner financial updates, All-Fee Enerner sessions, monthly meetings and lawyers, and sessions for other lawyers classification, planning and implementation of personal events such as the annual meeting and the fixed symposium.
- Make an annual visits to each office in Parad with the presence of the department; Meeting individually with billing lawyers for the local article regarding the development/business development development.
- Including office management partners and managers about employment, employees, productivity and other local matters as needed.
- Cooperation with the marketing and business development team and providing support for business plans and departments ’goals, ensuring compatibility with the budget, and reviewing and agreing expenditures.
- Stay in view of developments in legal technology and AI and integrate innovative tools into the department’s operations to enhance efficiency, profitability and value of the customer.
- IP technology and practical improvements to IP practice management.
- Developing strategies with the pricing and profit team of the customer’s arrangements.
- Cooperation with the job applicant (ACA) for salaries and bonuses and setting a suitable training curriculum for lawyers.
- Participate in recruitment and integration programs for side partners, lawyers, lateral and beginners colleagues; And determine the employment of side strategies by working closely with driving and employment teams.

The required experience:
A bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience are needed in the law firm; Advanced degree in law or work is plus. Previous experience is required in the management of intellectual property practice, including familiarity with patents and brands (including claim and litigation) and the final dates of patent systems and brands. To succeed in this position, you must show strong leadership and organizational capabilities, a comprehensive understanding of legal management, law firm, strong financial literacy, including budget experience, profitability analysis and strategies to improve revenue and profitability performance. Excellent personal skills – including negotiation experience, trust and professional competence at all levels – necessary. Efficiency with technology and experience in designing or implementing new required processes. You should be able and ready to travel for office visits, events or professional programs as needed.
