About the role
We seek to appoint a student experience assistant (SEA) who will work in the Charles Cell Hayen Library under the supervision of service supervisors. The role provides assistance and advice in the first line face to face and far as part of the library inquiry service and the student: exploring and repairing errors and solving requests for information technology support; Record the information using the call management program; Triple inquiries and refer to other teams.
You may cover inquiries, but not only support the following areas:
- User accounts management
- Supporting software
- Reporting accidents using ITSM sunrise
- Supporting auxiliary technology
- Print, copying, access to resources and support.
As a sea, it is also expected to work through other functions in educational processes according to the need. Support and management tasks may include:
- Buy and provide printed and electronic resources and materials
- Meet the requests for loans between libraries
- Ensure access to the library’s stock through the shelves of the elements in time
- Manage learning spaces by monitoring health, safety and use aspects
- Record statistics and participate in the stakeholders ’participation and consultation exercises.

What we are looking for
At the front of the front lines, you will represent the “face of the service”, so it is important for our customers to be aware and specialized and provide excellent customer service. Taking into consideration personal, verbal and written communication skills, as well as the experience of exploring and repairing errors and responding to a wide range of inquiries is necessary.
you will:
- Be an excellent factor for the team, reliable, flexible and very adaptive, with the initiative and the ability to learn new procedures and operations quickly and apply them constantly.
- You need confidence to work independently, and to know when the inquiries leave to others.
- Attention is required to details, literacy and account (for example using Excel)
- Confidence in the use of digital technologies, as efficiently to learn how to use new information technology applications and digital platforms effectively in the workplace.
This role is required to work in evenings 37 weeks per year (time period), Sunday – -Dnesday (16:45 – 00:15).
