The College of Physical and Sports Sciences (SPMS) hosts in NTU Singapore Research and Education activities in two parts: the Department of Sports Science (MAS) and the Department of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP). MAS covers various topics ranging from pure mathematics to mathematics applications in encryption, computing, business and financing. PAP covers many areas of basic and applied physics, including quantum information, intense material physics, biomedics, and optical. Over the years, SPMS attracted talented individuals from all over the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.

Join ASSOC Laboratory. Professor Elbert Xia in SPMS. We are looking for an older research colleague to contribute to a project that focuses on the growth of oxide structures in order to convert rotation into charging and optical phenomena under size.

Main responsibilities:

• Operation, maintenance and amend scientific equipment in Professor Xia Laboratory

• Manage project issues, including relevant papers

• Using the pulse laser deposit technology to manufacture oxide structures, and make transmission measurements on it.

• Preparing scientific publications

Job requirements:

• PhD in physics is mandatory.

• Strong experimental skills showed. Previous experience in the growth of pulse laser deposits from oxide structures and transmission measurements using mandatory physical property measuring system (PPMS).

• The ability to publish high -level research posts and writing grant proposals showed.

• Excellent verbal communication skills (including scientific writing).

• The ability to work independently but also to work as part of a team, for example, cooperating with group members and researchers from other laboratories.
