The Classics Department and the Center for Middle Ages at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at the University of Toronto calls for full -time positions, and the contestant in ancient times. This will be a common date between the Ministry of Classic (75 %) and the Center for Middle Ages (25 %). The successful candidate will also be qualified to be called a professor of Jackman in the arts. This will be the date for the chair for a period of five years and is renewed after a favorable review. The appointment will be in the rank of professor, with the expected start date on July 1, 2026.

Applicants must have a doctorate degree in classics, medieval studies, or a related field, with a clear record of excellence in research and teaching. The candidates will have a firm international reputation and are expected to maintain innovative and independent research and its leadership, and to maintain a distinguished, competitive and external research program.

We are looking for the candidates whose research and teaching will be in a field in the field of the history and culture Classic and Middle Ages studies. The successful applicant is expected to teach training courses at all levels in the original language (languages) for their sources and in translation, and contribute to the first university stage program in classics and graduate studies programs in both units.

The candidates must provide evidence of the research excellence that can be proven through a record of high -influential contributions and publications in relevant magazines and field, and explaining the presented research, presentations in important conferences, and awards, and other activities worthy of observation that contribute to the vision and emancipation of names, in addition to strong organizations. Applicants must also clarify a clear search agenda that they will play the role of a faculty member in classical and medium -century studies.

A evidence for excellence in teaching will be provided through teaching achievements, the teaching file submitted as part of the requests (with the required materials below), as well as strong reference messages.
