About the role:
We are seeking to obtain a post -doctoral researcher participant in participatory research to join the NIHR national institute (NIHR), which seeks and seeks to enhance the mental well -being of survivors from forced control. This unique study has been developed by developing the VAMHN group of Violence (VAMHN), and aims to build a theoretical framework for recovery and luxury that will reach the design of future interventions and services.
PostHolder will play a major role in supporting and training peer researchers, collecting and analyzing specific data, and leads to the development of the theoretical framework. They will work closely with the broader project team to ensure the formation of survivors from the research and results process, and they will contribute to the publication of academic publications, non -academic conferences and outputs such as policies and creative participation.
The role will submit a report to Dr. Charlie Bafit, an older research colleague in qualitative methods, and will be included in a cooperative and supportive environment that appreciates participatory and traumatic coordinates. This is a part -time post (17.5 hours a week), and a specific contract will be submitted for a period of December 1, 2025 to December 31, 2026.

About you:
Basic standards
- A cooperative mentality directed towards the team with a commitment to comprehensive and centered research on survivors.
- PhD in a related field (for example, social sciences, psychology, public or related health).
- Experience that can be clarified in the qualitative participatory research methods and procedure for qualitative data analysis.
- The experience of working with peer researchers, including providing guidance and support in collecting and analyzing specific data.
- A strong understanding of the theory’s theory in specific research, ideally using methods of building theory such as the foundation theory.
- Evidence of strong written communication skills, with examples of published academic articles or any other works.
- Knowledge with moral requirements, data security and governance of the Health Research Authority approved by research studies.
- A strong commitment to enlightened trauma, luxury, self -care and group care.
Desired criteria
- The experience of conducting research on violence, abuse and mental health.
- The experience of working with or supporting peer researchers with the experience of violence, abuse or mental health challenges.
- Experience with creative research methods and/or arts.
- The experience of sharing research results with non -academic masses
*Please note that this is a PhD level, but the candidates who presented their thesis and are waiting for a doctorate. In these circumstances, the appointment will be in the fifth grade, the spinal point 30 with the title of auxiliary aid.
