This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team from UCL researchers in the Future Leadership Fellowship Fellowship Project, which would create the use of the isolated environmental DNA to improve our understanding of capturing biological diversity data and environmental networks. The research colleague will be primarily at the PEOPLE and Nature Laboratory on the new UCL East campus.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced post -doctoral world to lead the data analysis associated with this project. Your role will be to analyze the data of the biological diversity derived from the air -mobile environmental DNA to explain the timeline in the richness of species, its rotation, the formation of society, and how this changes over time according to environmental change and human effects. We are also interested in the curricula that merge the flow of biological diversity data from other sources and the authenticity of the health of EDNA records from the surrounding lands data sets. It will lead to managing these data groups from the United Kingdom and around the world. The ultimate goal is to extract multi -dishes environmental networks from these data groups, using a mixture of inference from frequent time network styles and features. You will make a laboratory alongside others to create these data groups (training and support are available from us).

This role is an open contract with the date of the end of funding from 10/31/2028 in the first place. The seventh grade appointment is based on obtaining a doctorate degree; If this is not the case, the first time in grade 6b will be, as the payment is paid at the seventh grade to the date of the doctoral thesis.

About you

You can get a doctorate in a related area and have great experience in working in environmental/environmental or environmental genetics, with a strong quantitative component. You also have a great experience in spatial and temporal analysis of large biological diversity data groups, for example in explaining environmental and human motives of terrestrial biological diversity and/or environmental networks. The previous experience in building environmental networks based on features and using large feature databases will be a great advantage. Experience in developing, integrating and managing large data groups is necessary, as well as applying appropriate environmental statistics. You have knowledge or attention to learning, the amplicon -based laboratory workflow, and you will have an ideal experience in conducting vital information analyzes of DNA data (for example text programming or Python), although this is not necessary.
