Opportunity:

We are looking for a post -doctoral researcher in statistical computing methods, to work on the next generation of statistical modeling methods that can be developed and stable, and implement it in the Python technical package. This 4 -year project is cooperating with industrial partners, Simon Wood (author of RBACKAAGE MGCV for Smooth Silence Model).

The researcher with Simon Wood, industrial partners and students will develop statistical computing methods of general smooth slope models in large data – large model settings, and on innovative smoothing parameters and quantitative methods of measurement of general models that approach the arithmetic complexity of O (NP). In addition to developing traditional academic methods, the second work strands aims to produce the original Python package on the latest model of general smooth slope, improvement on MGCV, integrate new methods and provide smooth integration with the functioning of industrial data analysis.

Your skills and characteristics for success:

• Doctorate degree in statistical computing methods or a closely related field.
• A statistical publication record, with the component of sound styles.
• Sports and sports engineering skills and strong software.
• Good knowledge of modern statistical slope, especially smooth and mixed models.
• A strong background in the good and repeated statistical methods.
