We have a great opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to join the Uber team to move and legal delivery because we are developing the world’s best platform for independent vehicles to go to the market. This great lawyer will have a wide range of commercial issues, including the formulation of partner and negotiation agreements that govern the activations of AV through cases of movement and delivery, integration of safety, data sharing, fleet management, intellectual property, organizational principles and privacy. You will also provide advice on the integration of relevant products, and work closely with business to launch independent cars via the Uber platform.

This position is part of the Uber Legal Team and can be present in San Francisco, New York, New York or Washington, DC.

What will you do?

Bring a deep and varied trade experience to the team, and find creative solutions to white space issues during drafting.

Inclusion and negotiation with external partners, with a complete presentation of the risks and legal controls in commercial agreements and other external conditions.

Cooperation closely with colleagues in other legal and cooperative teams, such as safety, product, politics, intellectual property, insurance and privacy to provide comprehensive advice and create solutions that allow the company to move quickly and responsibly.

Be an active and reliable commercial partner with cooperative operations and professionals in the field of engineering and business development who launch independent services and products at Uber.

Spreading your commercial view to reviewing the features of the product and programming initiatives to ensure legal and organizational considerations and safety and reduce risks in the requirements of development and operational decisions.

Supporting commercial initiatives for the fleet and electricity that are in line with Uber’s goal of creating the best platform for fleets, period – electrical or independent.

Basic qualifications

At least eight (8) years of commercial legal experience in private practice, at home and/or government.

JD and a license to practice law in at least one state. Goinhouse.com should be mentioned when applying for this position.

Favorite qualifications

Experience with independent vehicles, vehicle fleets, travel on request, or delivery platforms.

At least two years (2) of internal experience are preferred.

Commercial experience and contracting in an organized industry across multiple markets, and providing clear and implemented conditions for customers, customers and partners.

Excellent commercial ruling and high level of comfort to advise senior leaders about a wide range of legal issues related to technology and/or software platforms.

Skills related to the strong personality and very cooperation with both business leaders and legal groups, with a strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner through jobs to build consensus.

Clear communication, directed at the team, ready to take the initiative while thinking about two steps forward.
