The British Museum is searching for a visionary leader to join its group’s district as head of research, archives and libraries. In this decisive role, you will form and provide the museum’s vision for research, while making sure that the museum has one of the most searched groups in the world and can be accessed and visible.

This high -impact role provides the opportunity to form a museum’s global research, as it stimulates research in all areas of the museum at a pivotal time in its history. Improvements will lead through archive and libraries services, formatting partnerships internally and externally, and income generator initiatives that are in line with the strategic goals of the museum.

The main areas of responsibility:

  • Leading and developing high -performance teams responsible for delivery of research and management leadership, archive and library services.
  • Set and implement the search vision, archives and libraries, and provide effective results.
  • Forming the development of major research projects and providing financing offers, focusing on continuous income generation activities and setting effective goals.
  • Contributing to the national and international research scene through the strategic advocacy and insight.
  • Leading and holding major relationships with external organizations to develop the museum’s research in BM_ARC in reading.

What you will bring to the museum:

  • A reputation in forming research at a large level in a major institution.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategies within an environment that focuses on research
  • A leader installed in research financing and submitting high -level projects funded from abroad.
  • Understanding issues at the sector level that affect museums, archives, libraries and heritage.
  • A strong reputation in the field of research related to the museum
  • The ability to build and develop enthusiastic teams dependent on the purpose.
  • Maher in influencing and cooperating with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally through academic circles, government and media.
