The role – the Fisheries consultant and livelihoods It will provide instructions and support for experts to enhance, manage and implement the AFAD Fish Assembly and the components of livelihoods near the work program in the coastal fish fisheries program and the water farming program. Helping to provide training and support to the SPC members specified for post -harvest practices and improve market opportunities for fish that are caught.

Main selection criteria

Qualifications

• A recognized degree in the development of fish fisheries, fish fisheries training, seafood technology, marine science, relevant discipline or equivalent set of knowledge and experience.

Technical experience

• At least 7 years experience in the AFAD (management, design, construction, website surveys, publishing, maintenance and/or monitoring).
• Knowledge and experience in a range of small and medium hunting methods near the beach, gears and technologies, such as fishing in the middle of the water, fishing, fishing of bait, long fish, and/or night fishing techniques.

Rewards – the Fisheries consultant and livelihoods It is the 10th Division Center on the SPC 2025 salary scale, with the starting salary range between 3142 and 3,886 SDR (special drawing rights) per month, which currently turns into about 4,179 – 5,169 euros (3,848-4,760 euros).
