About the role

As a clinical nurse specialist, you will lead and coordinate nursing care for patients with malignant tumors and chronic blood disorders in both internal patients and external attachments. Your role will include providing advanced clinical reviews, patient support through complex treatment paths, pioneering clinics led by nurses, and working in partnership with blood Doctors and the broader multidisciplinary team.

It will also contribute to the development of the service, provide leadership and education for nursing staff, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives. This is a very rewarding role for a person who is enthusiastic about specialized care, calling for the patient, and creating a measurable difference in the results of the patient.

Our dedicated hematology is located in the Oncology Unit or wider per day. We are an emotional and cooperative team that focuses on providing high quality care and focused on the patient to our society, while supporting each other for growth and prosperity in our clinical practice.

About you

As a clinical nurse specialist, you will bring:

  • Current registration with the Nursing Council in New Zealand and APC Saleh
  • A large clinical trial in blood diseases, tumors or related specialization
  • Graduate studies qualification in specialized nursing (or work towards it), perfectly at the master’s level
  • Excellent clinical communication skills
  • Commitment to provide fair and culturally safe care
