Overview of the role

We rely as head of engineering for architectural health, expansion and performance of the platform for senior economic officials. This is a major technical role for a person who flourishes in fast startup environments, yet it brings rigor and best practices learned from large organizations.

You will participate with VP engineering to set the technical trend of our platform, supervise the re -expulsion initiatives, lead efforts to improve infrastructure, performance and the quality of the code in all services. Your task is to make our systems faster, more reliable and easier to maintain the product difference from moving quickly without compromising the long term.

This is the position of practical leadership. It will dive into complex background systems, review critical software pathways, directly re -appeal, with engineers as well and enforcement of architectural standards. You will have a strong foundation in the background in Bethon/Djgano, solid infrastructure skills, and flexibility in adapting solutions in a practical manner in the start -up context. You will also get strong interest in advanced marketing technology in search engines, PPC and AI / LLM (Geo)

Responsibilities

  • Determining and maintaining the structure of the long -term platform and creating coding standards through engineering teams
  • Driving large -scale reselling projects to improve maintenance and expansion and performance ability
  • Determine and solve performance bottlenecks via API layers, database and infrastructure
  • Improving the lists of task lists, background processing, temporary storage, and pipeline lines
  • Providing technical guidance and guidance to senior engineers, and ensuring a high -quality symbol that can be preserved
  • Cooperation with infrastructure teams on observation, reliability, security and effective scaling in terms of cost
  • Lead EXTENCE PostMORTEMs with a ticking cause of root and long -term repairs
  • Keep a process with coding and initial models, correct errors and adapt to changing priorities with high -level solutions

requirements

  • 7+ years in software engineering, at least 5 years of back Beton/Django expertise.
  • 3+ years in the role of technical leadership (head of engineering, main engineer or lead technology).
  • An experiment installed in leading the expulsion and improvement projects on a large scale.
  • Deep experience after postgresql, including indexing, improving query, and chart design.
  • Celery efficiency or similar distributed task treatment systems.
  • Strong infrastructure Corporation, Docker, Ci/CD, Kubernetes familiarity, monitoring, and alert.
  • Experience with note tools like Sentry, Datadog and Grafana.
  • Startup experience and Exposure to large organizations, with the ability to mix fitness with best engineering practices.
  • Excellent communication and guidance skills in distributed teams.

Nice to be

  • Infinitely with Clickhouse, Elasticsearch, or other databases on a large scale.
  • Experience with Next.js or modern front work frameworks (for gain awareness).
  • Knowing the structures that depend on the events or systems that operate in Amnesty International, know the index and Amnesty International a strong reward
  • Experience with a large -scale multi -tenant architecture.

Salary and benefits

  • 8000 dollars -10,000 USD per month/depending on your site and skills/experience + reward
  • 15 days paid leave + Christmas Day + New Year’s Day
