Jobal Overview: The priest/Director of Family Life will provide vision and guidance for both the ministries of children and youth (DV KIDS and DV YouTH). Family life in Desert Vineyard includes major moments and features of families from birth to high school. It comes to seeing, supporting and walking side by side and celebrating with families in those meaningful seasons.
This position primarily includes direct leadership and strategic supervision of DV children, while providing leadership and guidance to the Young/Young Manager. It emphasizes the role on cooperation and partnership with the youth priest to facilitate the smooth transition from DV children to DV youth; And the cultivation of strong relationships and confidence with parents/guardians who have children in both ministers.

Main responsibilities:
Family life:
- Developing and implementing the goals and strategic goals of DV children in compliance with the Church’s vision, its trap and rhythm.
- Beginning, empowering and sending volunteers to serve in DV children, and their cavity to use the curricula and resources to lead children to real meetings with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
- Enhancing the surrender environment where students can experience freedom in Christ.
- Organizing and providing tools, equipment and resources for employees and volunteers to create the attractive and interesting culture and expertise of the ministry.
- Supervising employees and task task schedules.
- Supporting and encouraging culture between employees and volunteers is constantly increasing.
- Supervising the Ministry for children and families with special needs.
- Care to care for parents, volunteer teams and children.
- Develop a service for service parents at Desert Vineyard Kids 2-4 times a year.
- The climax of the curriculum topics celebrated with a kind of fun activity. Parents (parents) can participate with their child to complete that enhances and/or reflects the goal (goals).
- Create a periodic news message for DV children who teach parents (parents) to success stories of what children learn, do to show learning, and the positive impact of DV children.
- Screen and training volunteers/employees to ensure compliance with church policies, child protection in California, and dedicated correspondent laws.
- Supervising the provision of high quality care for children, ensuring that the percentage of adults is fulfilled to a child, and the guidelines for care is appropriate.
- Maintaining and implementing best practices for safety and security through all DV KIDS activities and events, whether on the site or outside the site.
- Investigate any complaints about DV children or youth/volunteers.
- A partner with the young priest to facilitate the transfer of children from primary to middle schools.
- Cooperating with the young priest to involve families with children in both ministries.
- Cooperation with the young priest to develop joint initiatives that enhance the synergy between DV KIDS and DV YouTH.
- Organizing special events for children and helping to support events at the church level that includes children and families.
- Supervising the annual budget, annual expenditures reports and management, and making financial decisions of the DV Ministry of Children.
- Performing or coordinating public pastoral responsibilities, such as child baptism, child dedication, hospital visits, and providing care for families in crises.
- Performing other duties as set.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of pastoral experience and/or director in the leadership of the Ministry of Pediatrics and/or youth.
- Bachelor’s degree in the ministry or a related field (for example, childhood development).
- Efficiency in Google Wings and Planning Center.
- The ability to employ, develop and retain strong volunteer teams.
- The experience of developing and implementing the strategies of the Comprehensive Ministry of Family.
- Cooperation showed through the Ministry’s teams and employees.
- Powerful and written communication skills for teaching, participation with families and employees, and inviting the broader society to the life of the ministry.
- Conflict solution skills to move and solve issues between children, volunteers, parents and employees who have grace and understanding.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality.
- An increased relationship with Jesus Christ and a fixed commitment to spiritual formation.
- The ability to teach and connect the biblical facts effectively.
- Commitment to generosity in time, talent and resources.
- A passion for the help of parents/guardians to engage in the spiritual development of their children.
- Humility and grace in driving, characterized by patience, mercy and heart.
